At Ashtonelle Alpacas, every product begins with our own much-loved herd. We celebrate the journey from fleece to finished piece, producing locally grown alpaca fibre that is carefully transformed into beautiful yarns and blends in natural and richly hand-dyed shades. Alongside our yarns, we create handcrafted knitted, crocheted and woven pieces that reflect the timeless appeal of natural fibres, traditional skills and the warmth, softness and quiet luxury of alpaca.
Folklore Yarns
Folklore Yarns is a bricks and mortar shop in East Belfast. They have been growing from strength to strength for over seven years and are becoming regulars on the festival scene. They are specialists in Donegal Tweeds bringing along their three beautiful Donegal Tweed ranges. They have Traditions Aran tweed in 30 colours, a gorgeously soft Merino Mohair DK and a stylish Merino Cashmere Silk range. They also have a great range of bespoke patterns by local designers.

I design and stitch beautifully unique homeware in fabric and yarn i.e. cushions, doorstops, hanging decorations, etc.

Debbie McCann is the designer behind Wee Yarn Designs, a range of Dorset and Yorkshire buttons used to create unique pieces of jewellery, accessories and works of art. The range also includes button making kits, contemporary hand knit accessories, and ceramic yarn bowls.

My name is Kirsty Greer and I’m a textile artist from County Tyrone. My main interests are anything to do with animals and nature! Floral and fauna are a big influence in my work. My main textile specialisms are embroidery (both hand and machine) as well as mixed media work. I really like focusing on sustainability in my work and in particular using upcycled materials, such as going to a charity shop to source second hand material which I dye and stitch into! My work is aimed for at nature lovers and who have an appreciation for the time-consuming beauty of embroidery! I want people to feel enchanted with my work and feel as if they are out in nature while looking at my work!

L'Objet Qui Parle
I sell vintage textiles some of which have had a previous life but still have a lot of life left in them. Many of these would end up as land fill otherwise. This not only includes fabrics but old quilts, blankets linens lace and vintage haberdashery.

Native Yarns & Lorna Shannon Weaving
I work with two County Antrim farmers. I sort their wool clip and take the fleece to a mill in Yorkshire for spinning. When I get it back to my workshop, I dye it in a range of wonderful colourways using only Oeko tex 100 certified dyes. The yarn is then ready to sell although I do manage to keep some of it to hand weave into scarves, pouches, and cushions.

Ewe to Yarn
I am a spinner, knitter, weaver and natural dyer, processing wool from our pedigree flock of poll Dorset sheep. I carry out the entire process on our farm in Dromara, Co Down…scouring, combing, carding, spinning and dyeing the fleece…from ewe to yarn.
